All though the market has shrunken in the last several months, the Western Suburbs of Chicago remain quite active, especially Hinsdale and Oak Brook where there are several outstanding properties being offered for sale. The mid priced homes from 600’s to 950 seem to be selling as well as the upper bracket homes in the newer to new catagories. There seems to be a new surge of transferees entering the market in Hinsdale, Oak Brook, and Clarendon Hills…The fine schools and easy access to transportation attract the buyers who are out there looking.  Also, the rental market has picked up a great deal …

As the old saying goes…”This Too Shall Pass”   and we are all hoping that is sooner rather than later..In the meantime…do not panick..Yes, there are good deals to be had…but be sure that you are aware of all of the conditions of the property including any leins, fines, appraisal, etc. caution is advisable. It is best to find a Realtor who has knowledge of the foreclosure or short sale procedure. As they say, “you get what you pay for.”

Amazing with all of the media news….but it can be an excellent time to purchase a home with excellent rates available…..however….that all depends upon your credit and verification of your information…..As for the SEllers…Price your home correctly so that it will appraise properly and make sure it is in pristine condition and shows great….whether it is in today’s market or yesterday’s, the same rules basically apply….make sure you qualify as a Buyer and as a seller…three things sell a home…. 1. Price 2. condition 3. Location
